Why an Avon Blog?

When you sign up to be an Avon representative, you get the practically instant opportunity to also be an e-representative. Not only does this give you an effective way to serve your friend and family customers in other cities and states, but it can potentially open up your Avon business to customers around the country on the World Wide Web.

If you're not familiar with blogs or blogging, here's a quick crash course. Blog is short for "web log." It's essentially a diary that is posted online. While blogging began as a way to record one's goings-on or keep family and friends updated, they developed into a valuable tool for news organizations and businesses to feature information, profiles and commentary on a regular basis without revising an entire website. When done right, blogs are a great sales tool.

Your personal Avon store website has the functionality to host a blog, or you can use a free blogging service, like Blogger (which I'm using) or Wordpress. You can even create your own website and add a blog to that. Once you're set up, blogging is about writing. You could share your thoughts about working for Avon, provide product reviews, do a daily account of your experiences "in the trenches" promoting Avon, give tutorials for new representatives, or any of the above. Of course, the ultimate goal is to use your Avon blog to promote your Avon store website, so make sure the information you provide is of some use to people who visit--either informative or entertaining--so people will visit the blog, read and (hopefully) visit your online Avon store.
